Electromagnetic stressors are environmental in nature and are the byproducts of repeated exposure to electromagnetic fields (EMF) radiation and radio frequency (RF) radiation. Cars, appliances, televisions, computers, Wi-Fi signals, cellular phones and other electronic devices that we carry around like an extra limb, cellular antennas and power lines are all sources of EMF and RF radiation. If we are near EMF and RF then our body is completely exposed to these types of radiation. The only time we are not chronically exposed to EMF and RF radiation is when we are out in the wilderness, far, far away.
DID YOU KNOW: Many studies have shown that electromagnetic fields can have destructive effects on sex hormones, gonadal function, fetal development, and pregnancy. An international panel of experts, convened by the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences, warned that electric and magnetic fields like those surrounding electric power lines should be regarded as a “possible human carcinogen.” Experts recommend to minimize exposure to these waves while increasing intake of natural antioxidants to help reduce the effects of these waves.
To understand the impact of this type of stressors, we need to better understand how our body interacts with and responds to magnetic fields, we must appreciate how much our body itself is electromagnetic. Our body’s own internal magnetic fields are generated by the extraordinary amount of internal electrical activity that keeps our body alive. These biomagnetic fields interact with all of the other magnetic fields on the planet and control our basic chemistry.
Our body is comprised of more than 70 trillion individual cells, each of which carries out several thousand metabolic processes every second. In order for that level of complexity to function smoothly, a great deal of electromagnetic bio-communication takes place between and within these trillions of cells.
Over the past several decades we have been constantly exposed to electric and magnetic fields from both industrial and domestic uses. These fields are produced not only for technological applications (e.g., power lines mobile phones), but they are now widely used also in medicine for diagnostic (e.g., magnetic resonance imaging scanner and microwave imaging) and therapeutic purposes (e.g., radio frequency and microwave ablation and hyperthermia). Current Research suggests that EMF radiation is a potential contributor to multiple types of cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, headaches, low sperm count, impaired immune function, mood disorders, and sleep disorders to name a few.
A perpetual state of electromagnetic stress may impact, challenge and threaten our neurological and endocrine systems, wreaking havoc on our body. Over time our cells, tissues, organs and systems become increasingly fatigued, our normal metabolism and nerve signal transmission is interfered with, and our immune system becomes greatly impaired with a lowered resistance to diseases. Chronic conditions associated with prolonged electromagnetic stress may include: amplified natural weaknesses or genetic disorders, electromagnetic Hypersensitivity (a combination of some/all of the following: sleep issues, fatigue, depression, headaches, restlessness, poor concentration, irritability, forgetfulness, learning difficulties, frequent infections, limb and joint pains, numbness or tingling sensations, tinnitus, hearing loss, impaired balance, and eye problems.)
Major electromagnetic stressors may include:
- Oxidative stress
- Nutritional deficiencies (due to the body’s compromised ability to absorb nutrients)
- Spine & nerve interference
- Suppressed immune system
- Poor sleep patterns
- Meridian energy imbalance
These stressors may result from prolonged exposure to geopathic stress (earth natural energy field is distorted or disrupted), electromagnetic pollution (electronics, appliances, cell phone/towers, electric grid, etc), and disconnection from nature.
